Environmental & MEC

The environmental challenges that face the modern world require solutions on a local level, the kind that MARRS environmental professionals provide day-in and day-out. Our environmental managers comply with evolving issues and regulations to protect our natural environment while supporting major, meaningful projects for federal, state and local clients. Our engineers apply tested work methods--from field investigations to storm water management, and from permitting to regulatory liaison--to mitigate environmental impacts for the entire lifecycle of a project. We know the Southern California terrain and have analyzed, addressed and treated all aspects of the environmental landscape. Our holistic solutions are balanced to conserve valuable resources and client budgets. All of our environmental initiatives consider not only project excellence, but the well-being of the community, its people, and their future.

Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC): MARRS manages the full range of investigations, studies, and outreach programs for munitions and explosives of concern for the Military Munitions Response Program—part of the Secretary of Defense's Defense Environmental Restoration Program--and for hazardous, toxic and radioactive waste sites. MARRS MEC services are tailored to the investigation of unexploded ordnance (UXO) sites. Our team of land surveyors, UXO technicians, and geophysicists use proven and innovative field methods, accompanied by cutting-edge computer analysis and presentation methods to achieve safe and secure solutions. From MEC identification and documentation to public outreach programs and cleanup oversight, our project managers have applied munitions expertise and regulatory interface experience to achieve closure for many types of sites.
